So, I’m always looking for fun accessories because it’s the perfect way to pull together an outfit, jazz up some basics, and switch up your look for a relatively low cost. Lately, like much of the rest of the world, I’ve been scarf happy. I spotted the perfect addition to my massive and ever-growing scarf collection a few months back in Lucky Magazine. I did a brief online search for it, but then it slipped off my radar…until about a week ago.
Was on a man hunt for the perfect pair of wide-leg trousers for a client. Suddenly, something shiny caught my eye.
There it was: the metal scarf. Yes, metal. And a scarf. Actually more like silver mesh necklace in the shape of a scarf. No, it does not keep you warm. Yes, it is 100 percent fun. I didn’t do the gold because, it was a little Forever 21 (as if in silver it suddenly became more expensive, right?). I already pictured it with my T by Alexander Wang tank dress (it only really qualifies as a dress if you consider that it barely, just barely covers your backside), black leggings, stacked round-toe pumps, and a denim jacket. With shiny, louder pieces like this, it’s always a good idea to tone everything else down (think matte) and keep it simple. But, because it is trendy, you want the rest of you to match.
So, go ahead and bust out your dancing shoes, turn up the ABBA, and shake what your momma gave you.
