This month, I had the pleasure of speaking to the Women in Banking group as part of their monthly professional gathering. We talked strategies to create a stress-free wardrobe while upping your style game in a conservative business setting. Events like these are what inspire me. There is nothing better than connecting with women who are looking for a different way to approach their daily lives and take care of themselves. DC Style Factory workshops and style talks provide a clear path to accomplish that — with lots of laughs!

So, what are some strategies to add interest when you are working with more business formal and business casual workwear? Add interest through color, pattern and texture. Your silhouettes need to stay classic and tailored in these settings, but mixing patterns, adding a pop of color (cobalt blue!), and adding “secondary neutrals” like oxblood red will elevate your office style game.

A special thank you to all the women who joined in the style talk, our event sponsors  Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP and Suited for Change,  and Betsy Fisher and Argent for providing the pieces featured in the workshop.
