So, my favorite men’s shoe over the past several years has been the desert shoe. With its simplicity, ruggedness, and versatility, no guy can go wrong sporting a pair.
Clark’s does the original, J. Crew does an easy, affordable version, and a plethora of high-end designers have come correct with their own take on boot worn originally by British soldiers in WWII. The latest and greatest in my humble opinion? A collaboration between Stussy and Doc Martens (yup, get your goth gear out) that yielded a young, urban and playful take on the classic (white soles?).
No need to search far and wide, either. Jut pop on down to For the Greater Good’s Florida Avenue outpost. I’m feeling the slate gray pair, pictured above, with the red laces. But, they also come in camel with green laces and black with purple.
